I'm Sam, a photographer drawn to the feelings, stories and moments that make a photograph more than just an image.

For me, photography is about capturing something that makes you pause for a moment. It might be an emotion, a certain atmosphere, the way light falls across a scene or the feeling created by colour. I'm drawn to images that make you feel something, tell a story and stay with you, even after you've looked away.

When it comes to working with clients, I'm particularly interested in capturing people in their natural environment, doing what they do best. An artisan at work in their workshop, a farmer going about their day, a chef in a busy kitchen or the energy of an event. I enjoy photographing things as they happen, finding the moments, details and interactions that reveal the character of a person or place. I'm also happy to work on portraits, spaces, products and other types of photography where there's a story to tell.

Alongside photography, my background in Business Administration and Marketing gives me an understanding of the business side of things. While photography is at the heart of what I offer, I'm always happy to think along with clients about how their images can support their brand and how they present themselves to the world.

Outside of client work, I pursue my own photography through travel, nature and wildlife. Exploring new places and situations allows me to experiment with light, colour and atmosphere, and continually develop my own way of seeing the world. To me the heart of photography is seeing. Whatever meaning you put to that.
